BABES & HUNKS! Its Emily here yo.
Everything is more or less updated in this blog, so if you dont see your name blinking back at you around the SAB box, do inform me & i'll buy you a box of ferrero rocher.
Dont be an idiot & go remove your name from the box ah! I'll summon you with rounds I tell you!
& if you wish to be linked, do leave your blog URL in the tagbox yup :D
Back to business. Theres a few things which I want to highlight.
1) Choir Attendence.
I know im extremely long-winded to be mentioning about this again & again but as you can see,
our choir is REALLY SERIOUSLY NOT JOKING-LY small. In terms of numbers.
Ive checked with the president of Anglican High, their current stand is around 70.
& I know when we go for major competitions like SYF, you'll feel utterly small.
This is a human nature & no one can change the fact that its existance is a reality.
Thus, I would really like to enforce all of you to use your DIAPHRAGMS as singers because its absurd to be relying on your throat.
Spare a thought for the Choir atleast & not for yourself, dont be self-centered as to throw off the whole choir just because of your selfish act.
2) The 3 golden rules.
I'll never forget about how Marilou & Rachel tried to implement this 3 rules about
-Raising your eyebrows when you cannot reach the note
-Make sure theres a 2 finger spacing in your mouth whenever you sing & sing it in an egg shape
-SIT HALF A CHAIR, ESPICIALLY THIS DAMN POINT.
Listen good for I'll only say it once.
You're complaining about being tired, after lessons & remedial still have to attend CCA?
LOOK. you're not the one & only doing so. MOE makes sure that everyone belongs to atleast 1 CCA & stay devoted to it because when you attend CCA, it teaches you things like peserverence, discipline, punctuality & etc.
Its gonna be even worse if your attitude is "Faster end this tiring practice la, im so sleepy liao".
Hello, Cant you tell that Mr Tham & Mr Tan is painstakingly trying their best to revive EACH & EVERY practice so as to get your attention?
PleasepleasePLEASE! Appreciate their effort & not make them walk out on us.
(As quoted by Deborah).
3) School values.
Discipline & Respect.
This 2 are very much or less linked together because when you're discipline enough to keep your mouth shut when other sections are singing, you're actually showing them respect.
ESPICIALLY to Mr Tham & Mr Tan, our 2 conductors.
I dont understand WHY THE HELL do you guys have to talk while they are talking.
Is your speech very important? At the verge of death already, last sentance MUST be spoken?
If you really have something to share, put up your hand & share with the rest of your choir.
Dont be a self-centered creature & transform into a loudhailer/amplifier/loudspeaker when its not the time to do so.
Frankly speaking, I do love running alot. Mark my words, if you guys push your luck, I'll never hesitate to add rounds so you guys just have to run at the end of every practice.
Choices ALWAYS have consequences. Think twice before you act.
Okay. Im finally done.
In my opinion, I think that ALL of you really have to read this & reflect upon your attitude & behaviour. You guys are far way to out of hand & I definately have to bring ALL of you to task.
I dont give a damn if you nickname me the "bossy president" or whatever shit. Tell you what, I dont give a hook. My job is to ensure that all of you learn something at the end of every practice & have fun. Treat Choir as your friend & not your enemy.
Actions will speak louder than words from tomorrow onwards.
I'll reveal my true colours if its needed. *evil grins*
Xoxo, Emily.
